Swim Meet Checklist
Night Before Meet
Have a good dinner, get your bag ready, and get a good night's sleep. You will be ready to go in the morning!
Day of Meet
Get to the pool at least 15 minutes before start of warm-ups. Make sure you have your swim bag with your essentials. Check in with Coach when you arrive.
What do I need to bring?
MUST HAVES
✓ Swimsuits (2 - bring extra one for backup)
✓ Goggles (2 pairs)
✓ Swim Caps (2)
✓ Deck Sandals/Flip Flops/Crocs
✓ 2-3 Towels
✓ Black sharpie to write events
✓ Sweatshirt or Swim Parka to wear between events
✓ Water-Sports Drink – Stay hydrated! No soda or Juice.
✓ Nutritious Snacks – Yogurt, cheese sticks, beef jerky, fruit, veggies, crackers, goldfish, power bars, granola bars
✓ Dry clothes to change into after the meet
✓ Bring a positive attitude and be ready to cheer on your teammates!
NICE TO HAVES
✓ Printed heat sheet – available for purchase at meet – some meets provide electronically
✓ Highlighter for heat sheets
✓ Cash for concessions
✓ Lawn chairs and blanket for waiting area
✓ Sleeping bags if gym area is available
✓ Games (cards, board games), books or other activities
